The purpose of the Columbus Cottage program is to:
Provide safe, sanitary, efficient housing for elderly and/or disabled
residents at risk of becoming homeless.
Preserve affordable housing within the Columbus community.
Replace aging substandard housing units.
Target persons most in need of intervention.
Improve quality of life of its participants.
Permit aging in place on owner’s property.
